Day 17: Today I cried for the first time in 10 years. A cop gave me a speeding ticket after having gotten one 5 days previously (on the day I broke my shoulder no less). I like to consider myself a good driver. Before these incidents I've only ever once been pulled over 8 years ago. I think it's something about out-of-state plates that gets them foaming at the mouth.The cop was threatening to summon me to court for the violation, meaning I would be legally obligated to show up in 2 months in Colorado, even though I live in California and am traveling. I also thought this might mean my license would be suspended(which I later learned wasn't true). Between that, my broken shoulder, coronavirus screwing up plans for traveling, it was just too much, and I just broke down.All that being said, I'm actually having a great time. I'm enjoying not working and just hanging out with people. I'm still looking forward to the international part of my trip, whenever that starts.And to Loveland, CO officer #209, if you're reading this, I hope you stub your toe every day for a month for being such a heartless jerk.
