Last weekend I attempted the El dienete to Mt Wilson traverse with @cassie_davies. 15ish miles and 5k feet, with the traverse itself being a mile long section of 3rd and 4th class. We got about 90% of the way done, and bailed right before Mt Wilson because we weren't feeling it.Could we have finished it? Probably. But if we aren't feeling good, there's no point in going on. I use to put completing the objective above all else — and this has caused me regrets in the past. I regretted how I treated others, and it caused me anxiety to live up to those objectives. Now I put the stoke above all else — and when that's gone, we're done. The mountains will always be there — so let's try to only make good memories in them.

People are sleeping on Utah! One of the most beautiful places in the US.Started out on a short backpacking overnight with @nck237 and @the_rouxgarou which had us wadding through a stream. Then car camped and drove around grand staircase escalante national monument and through canyonlands national park. Absolutely gorgeous, and somehow didn't see any crowds all memorial weekend!

Hike up Quandary peak that @lemhoffman and I did back in February. We started at 4am and were done dy 10am. It was supposed to be 10 mph winds, but it ended up being around 40 mph with gusts up to 60 . Winter 14ers are hard!
