I've been running for over 10 years. I run almost every day. When I injured my shoulder, I was devastated that I wouldn't be able to run for a few months. 2 weeks ago I got to take off my sling, I was so happy to start running again.Ahmaud Arbery will never get that chance. He was ambushed and murdered while out on a jog. This is MY community and it's fucked that people can't go out and excerise in peace. And it's not just Ahmaud. Ask any of your running friends, ask me, and they'll tell you countless stories of harrasment and danger and life threatening moments they've had on their runs.So next time your friend asks you to be their running buddy, don't hesitate. If they call you in the middle of a 10 mile run and ask you to pick them up because they feel uneasy, don't question it. Runners should never be ashamed or scared to ask for help.#irunwithmaud
